Megget Stone

I've known for years that the Megget Stone was the starting point for routes up high Borders hills, but today was the first time I'd seen it. It marks the high point (452m) of the road between Tweedsmuir and St Mary's Loch. I had to bend down to make it look significant.

I used it as the starting point for a round to the south, with White Coomb as the high point. Was also able to check that some of the trees I planted above Carrifran Glen were still alive. Although lots of the terrain was great runnable grass, some wasn't and it was pretty windy, so it was a hard outing - but good training.
