Dinner for two

I've had a flying visit from my son who came on the train last night. Before taking him to stay with a friend we went for a walk around around Battlefield Heritage Park the site of the Battle of Shrewsbury. The Church of St. Mary Magdalene is there, built around 1406 as a memorial to those killed.

It's now a redundant Church and surrounded by wild flowers (extra picture). An uncle and aunt were caretakers for the church all their married life but when they died were not allowed to have the service there though they're buried in the churchyard.

The main photo is of a male orange tip butterfly and a cucumber green orb spider feeding on an ox-eye daisy bud in the churchyard. Fortunately for the butterfly this spider only catches small insects!

The other photo is my son, I caught him unawares when he was having a joke.
