Spiny Oakworm

It is a gorgeous day!  Ran with my daughter, set up the water balloon station for my son and the neighbor boys, planted some things in the flower bed in the front of the house.

While planting, I noticed this black line snaking behind my car.  It was a caterpillar train. I had never seen anything like it.  Google says they are spiny oakworms.  very interesting creatures.  The extra photo is the lead caterpillar's closeup.
