A Day Worth Recording

'Drobe

Cry havoc, and lets fit the drobes of war.

OK, sorry.

New semi-self-assembly wardrobe arrived this afternoon. After a joiner had suggested an eye-watering amount for a fitted wardrobe for the bedroom we started searching for a conventional provider.  Being us, we not only wanted reasonable quality, a straightforward design and the right size, but also that it wasn't made out of rainforest by 10-year-olds paid thruppence a year.

Searching both offline and online providers I eventually found one company (Oakea) that publicly showed some level of conscience; even better, they turned out to be in Hereford (albeit the factory is in Vietnam), delivered in a week and needed paying only on delivery.

The quality of the wardrobe is really pretty good.  The wood of the different sections all matches, the doors align, and it bolted together like a dream.

And at a fifth of the price of a custom one.
