Picked Clean

The remains of a ............bicycle.
Every Sunday we walk past what was once a functioning bicycle and every Sunday there is less and less of it until today only a front wheel remains.

In an adjoining street is another tethered cycle with no wheels, just the frame, and closer to home there is a perfect child's pink bicycle with stabilisers which has remained chained to railings for four weeks.
So far no one has come with chain cutters and removed it- there is obviously a limited black market for pink mini bikes.

Are these abandoned bicycles the result of lost padlock keys or forgotten combination numbers? I am intrigued.
