Cefalu Procession

This turned out to be a first communion procession up to the Duomo with small children dressed in white accompanied by parents dressed up to the nines.  One of the nice things about Italy is how much of life is conducted outside in the streets (including a volatile row between a couple outside a restaurant in Palermo that even had the the restaurant staff wondering if they should intervene).  This particular event reminded me of the first time I went to Italy back in the 1970s and saw similar processions.  Some things haven't changed much at all.
