A Treasured Kiltwalk Moment

Well that's the long Bank Holiday weekend all but over and I hope you all managed to spend time having fun with you and yours, cause I bet Tammy Main who is featured in today's Blipfoto story did, if her son had anything to do with it that is.

It's a short week, but a lot to do at both work and in the land of The Kiltwalk where we have a Board Meeting on Thursday night and the agenda, as usual, is jam packed with planning for our remaining 2012 events and believe it or not, 2013 as well.

There are also one or two really exciting things happening and we'll hopefully share these with you soon, so watch this space!!

So back to today's Blipfoto Journal and it's a precious picture as it captures a special moment in time, at a very special event, The Speyside Kiltwalk.

The moment in time is a loving son, Cameron, who has waited for his Mum, Tammy to complete the gruelling 26 mile Kiltwalk, so that he could present her with a bouquet of flowers at the finishing line and I'm sure there was a big hug in there too. What a boy, he'll go far.

I was still on duty handing out the medals by the time Tammy and her pals Susan MacDonald, Susan Stronach and Karen Wells Smith were enjoying their first drink of the day, however due to a "call of nature" I was allowed to nip away to The Mash Tun, as you do, where I had the pleasure of meeting up with them.

We were all making fun of poor Susan (Stronach) who unlike the rest of the gang had only walked the 16 mile event and we were teasing her that she had been given the wrong medal as the 16 mile medal was much smaller, which of course wasn't the case, as no matter how far you walked on the day, everyone got the same medal as, to us, you're all heroes.

Anyway I think Susan forgave us, or perhaps just forgot as the medicinal alcohol seemed to being appreciated to its fullest, so I hope the heads weren't as sore as the muscles were the next day and I look forward to catching up with you again next year.

The one question have for the Kiltwalk girls is, what happened to Lynsey? or was she under table by the time I got there :-)

Today's picture is another one from the official Kiltwalk 2012 Album and were all taken by Shaun Ward, who does such an excellent job for us. They're still available to purchase and if you didn't know before hand, all proceeds go directly to The Kiltwalk, so another excellent reason to purchase an everlasting memento.
