Girl Katherine II

16.4C with some cloud and plenty of sunny spells. Light breeze.

Bank holiday and Apothecary7 had a day off. She is feeling much better after her dental trauma.

We decided to go through to Arbroath to have a walk round the harbour with Maeve the Deerhound. The lock gate to the inner harbour was open, so we walked round towards the boatyard. The boatyard bridge was up and the fishing boat Orianne had just been returned to the water using a slipway cradle. We watched her refloat and move off to a berth by the outer harbour wall, then watched The Ultimate Predator and Girl Katherine II move off and reberth at the refuelling quay.

We walked back round to the car, popped Maeve inside, then walked to Sugar and Spice which is just round from the harbour at the bottom end of the High Street. We had their mid morning tea and scone for £3 offer. Bargain. Giant scone.

On the way home we stopped at B&Q to get a few plants but, as usual, we didn't like their selection and a lot of their plants were badly in need of watering. We drove on to Dobbies and got what we wanted there.

After lunch we cleared out some big pots and planted the new plants in fresh compost.
Maeve has been out in the garden for hours again.
