Common Tern Feeding Mate - Freiston Shore

There was enough time for another walk around Freiston Shore this morning before we trundled back to Wales. Unfortunately it wasn't any where near as sunny as yesterday, and there wasn't a Black Headed Gull Colony to photograph, which surprised me. In fact there were more Avocet nests there than gulls. There was also this Tern pair that were in full mating mode. I tried to photograph them in flight but that was nigh but impossible!

There were a few other birds of interest around, Oystercatchers, Avocets, Little Egret and a few Shelducks, but the lagoon was pretty quiet.

After our usual rocket fuel brunch it was then time to wind our way back east to west after a stay that seemed to last just five minutes.
