Crook Hall Garden

P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; }
We had an outing today with the U3A Garden Group. First we visited LionMouth Rural Centre near Durham which exists as a place where vulnerable people can go to support their recovery, create and learn. They have a lovely but small nursery where we could buy plants which had come from cuttings etc. They have a little cafe too where we had lunch. Being a garden group we were like small children in a sweet shop and most of us managed to buy something, which will all help with their funds.

We then went to Crook Hall to spend the afternoon looking around the various gardens. Well worth a visit if you are near Durham - it's very close to the city centre. You can see Durham Cathedral in the background.
This week is Fairy Tale Week and there were many characters about. We came across Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf as you can see in the extras. The second extra was a peony which caught my eye.
Not sure what has happened to the font in the first paragraph but there is nothing I can do to make it look the same as the remainder of the text
