Shining Light.

Wenman Joseph Basset-Lowke made his money as the founder of a prosperous model making business. he bought a house, 78 Derngate in Northampton. He commissioned Charles Rennie Mackintosh to design the interior of the house in 1916.
I went there today with friends to belatedly celebrate a special birthday of one of them.
We had a sumptuous afternoon tea and prosecco.
This picture shows a beautiful Mackintosh screen in the house, with the light shining through.
