We Are Family

We spent a very pleasant Bank Holiday Monday at Shipston on Stour sheep fair.
Shipston, from an 8th century word meaning Sheepwash Town is about ten miles south of Stratford and holds an annual sheep fair to celebrate all sorts of woolly stuff, including rare breed sheep, shearing, spinning, weaving, knitting and felt making.

These sheep were in a pen waiting to be sheared, a process which LooseCanon has blipped today. We also ate lovely cakes and listened to some school bands which were very good though a tad loud for our ageing ears!

Coffeepotter and Nikonabike were heading for the same event so expect further sheep blips later.
