Silver linings

Heavy rain overnight followed by a fairly sick friend meant that climbing went out of today's plans and instead it was coffee, croissants and a trip to St Gervais's swanky new medical centre.
€55 got friend 30mins with the Dr & 4 different prescription drugs - so once tablets were swallowed and painkillers had started to work we decided on a wander through the woods to La Duchere. All the streams and falls were full - and by mid afternoon we even managed to sit in the sun (surely the best cure of all) and have a last coffee & cake.
