Suffolk's Best Kept Secret!

Don't be fooled by the small meandering track and quaint memorial stone outside for this is home to Elmsett Airfield - Suffolk's Best Kept Secret!! Far from being sleepy this is home to ICS car racing workshop; HobbyKing - all things associated with model aircraft; the scrummy Wheaten Mill bakery; as well as Aeroanglia Aircraft Maintenance and several homebased aircraft. However this place is an unlicensed field and is a delight to fly from with it being so quiet ... but don't forget to watch out for the neighbours ... the odd Apache or 2 ... Sammy Seaking & Mr Police helicopter all from nearby Wattisham Airfield!!

Today wasn't supposed to be a aviation type of day as it was back to work following the BH ... but that thought was soon scuppered after hearing a familiar sound above the office which was quickly identified as a brightly yellow coloured Stearman who was having fun with playing with the pitch of his propeller!!!

Then I needed a quick detour home to Suffolk's  Best Kept Secret - not to fly unfortunately (although a quick chat with the Beast was in order!!) but to replace tea and milk drunk on Sunday whilst prepping for and clearing up after an air-display!! Thought a 'thank you pack' of biscuits was in order too!!!
