Just A Touch

Uh Oh…..Hey this is a first for a dog…and is quite hard to bark.
Anyway this was my thought when The Boss got himself out of bed this morning. Yes he was Bossessless   and another new word joins the list.
“Bossessless”  Without The Bossess, a condition where jackets may be hung on the bark of chairs without fear of removal and loudish  music accompanies making and consuming breakfast. This condition also simplifies things for ME as I only have to suck up to The Boss, rather than divide my attention between them which can be nerve racking at this delicate time of day.

Where was I…Oh yes. Uh Oh…as outside the sun was not visible and neither were the tops of mountains and the scene was set for the only time in the year when Wanaka is not a great place to be. “Inversion Time” sometimes known as the “Miserable Mists of May” when the changing temperatures trap a low cover of cloud in our valley that takes hours and sometimes never to burn off and let the sun shine in.
This condition may last up to a fortnight but vanishes as the temperatures continue to fall and the sun returns and can be even worse in Alexandra to the Southeast which gets hoar frosts and inversion for up to a month.
Wonderful photography by the way but the locals don’t seem to be enthusiastic camera folk.

Todays pic is Ruby Island taken in the afternoon when a touch of sun was getting through but The Boss still had his jacket and wooly hat on and was in fine stickathonic condition.
