Through a glass darkly

An odd sort of day.I was up bright and early and off to the community cabin (!) to join the orderly queue for tickets to the Quiz Night to be hosted by our sometime resident celeb Graham Norton. The earliest queuees were there at 6.30 complete with foldable chairs, flasks of coffee and bacon baps. We were well behaved and patient and at 9 pretend tickets were given out, and by 9.30 all of these had been allocated and we were told to go home or to the pub and reappear at 11am for the real ones. It sort of worked. Now we have a couple of months to work on our TV programmes and sports expertise ...and the Simpsons which seem relentlessly popular as quiz questions.
Today's pic is me gazing up into the helpful mirror placed outside the hallowed gates of chez Graham. The lane is remarkably green.

It's freezing though, and grey and windy and the forecast for Monday is diabolical - gales and Biblical amounts of rain. Perfect Bank Holiday weather. Flaming June.
