Cromwell Bottom

We got ourselves organised this morning and went down to the nature reserve, and being early meant there was no problem parking and for a short time at least it felt as if we had the place to ourselves.  We went along to the hide, but although we sat awhile we didn't see much activity  - neither birds nor twitchers.  Perhaps they all know something I don't!

We did a circular walk which took in the weir, as sometimes you can see Mergansers or Teal there, but we had no luck today;   just as we were heading back to the car someone told us that  Heron, Egret and Great Crested Grebe have been recorded at the far side.  Nothing doing today I'm afraid, but we'll bear that in mind for next time.
