Grey Day - High Coast Bridge

We went to sleep in the early hours listening to rain beating against the windows, and awoke to the same sound this morning, after not quite enough hours asleep.
The day continued in that way with rain sweeping down and rather cool temperatures below 10° C.
Distant views faded away into a mist of falling rain and the headlights of cars seemed bright, even though it was the middle of the day.
However, there has been a subtle change insomuch as spring seems to have evolved into summer.  The trees nearly all have their leaves now and frosty nights have probably come to end (touch wood) until autumn rolls round again.  So this rain is summer rain,  which falls gently, washes the leaves and then drips to earth. Somehow summer rain is a slightly more positive experience than spring rain though one gets just as wet!
