Wet sunday

It's alternating between suncream weather and waterproofs weather at the moment. Today was soggy but after a morning with rather a lot of telly (peppa pig and TwirlyWoos ) we headed to Scotsdales. And marvelled at the almost empty car park before we realised we'd arrived 2 minutes before opening time. Lots of pottering round the sheds, visited the birds, fish and bunnies, met up for a brief chat with Rod and Tom who we haven't seen in far too long (they brought matthew's birthday present!), bought a hose and a summer frock for my holidays, rode on Thomas and had lunch. At least we did, Matthew cambered on his high chair and ate almost nothing. We all had a big nap and then had a pretty nice afternoon building a big fire engine and playing stepping stones and driving cars with sofa cushions. And by evening it was pleasant enough to potter about in the garden a bit before bed! All tired again and the weekend has felt very short.
