Clouds gathering ......

.... after a sunny start to the day.

This site was called Lomax when it was the largest coal tip in Europe (allegedly). Then it became Cutacre when it moved to become a big coal washing site (to extract the economically valuable coal) with restoration to follow. Now it is Logistics North, a big business park mainly in Bolton's area, with some in Salford, and a bit in Wigan. Very good access to the M61.

Beyond and to the left, Aldi's new 600,000 sq ft NW distribution centre under construction. To the right, MBNA's new facility also in progress - a missile manufacturer, they will be moving here from Lostock. More big buildings to follow, but with lots of tree planting, and a large country park in which the resident great crested newts can find sanctuary.

The developer is Harworth Estates, a property developer spun out of UK Coal.
