Bedtime prospects

Looking forward to sleeping well tonight — there's nothing quite so satisfying as slipping under the duvet onto a freshly laundered and made bed.
Travelling frequently and often spending nights in hotel rooms, one of the joys of getting back home, apart from seeing the family, was the thought of my own bed.
For no matter how imposing hotel surroundings they were never quite the same as being in your own comfort and environment.
Don't get me wrong, both of us always enjoy being able to get away for a few days, perhaps spending time with relatives or old friends, or seeing somewhere new, but the home-coming and the prospect of that undefinable sensation of fresh laundered bedding like tonight's is another joy. 
Shame the family teddies who adorn the bed, have had an exclusive taste of the comfort all day long.

Aah well!
