Snoozing at the botanical gardens

Another good sleep and we check out to check in again and, of course, they are full tonight ... it never goes quite to plan!  A quick wander and we find somewhere else, check out properly and then wander to the Botanical Gardens in the late morning. We were going to go to the KL tower but, again, it's too expensive at 20 USD per person. The gardens are nice and we wander for a bit, get some food and then sit by the lake for a bit ... or have a snooze in Andy's case. Its a lovely place to sit in the peace and quiet with the skyscrapers and hustle and bustle of the city nearby. We hear thunder and see a storm coming so head to the station and take the monorail to Bukit Bintang. The rain is coming down heavily now so we go into a shopping mall, have a wander and a coffee until it eventually passes. We end up walking back towards China Town and do a bit more shopping ... Andy gets a hat this time and Fred a dress. We can chuck some of our old stuff finally.

Dinner and a beer in China Town then back to our hotel where Fred spends a bit of time getting home insurance quotes online as ours expires on 31 May. We manage to get a comparable policy for over £100 less a year than renewing our current policy so go for it then telephone and cancel the renewal. Still got admin to do do even here!
