Lancelot

I managed a shot of Lancelot in the rather gloomy light. No lovely red gorget in the shot, but he's still a looker.

The funeral service for Fritz was outstanding. His talented cousin Walter gave a fascinating eulogy, walking us through Fritz' interesting life from his birth in Zhitomir, Ukraine, (then USSR), Life under Stalin, their family evacuation to Germany in 1943 and emigration to the US with Walter and his mother in1952. Walter's daughter and twin sons took part as well with poetry, piano and cello. I did find out this morning that Fritz and Walter had another rather famous cousin, a 20th century piano great, Sviatoslav Richter .  We actually had a wonderful time at the collation after, sitting and sharing stories at a table with many childhood friends of Barbara's. They were all such fun and so interesting. Our Fritz will be missed by so many.

For the Record,
This day came in dry and gloomy The rain has gone, but the cool weather is still with us. That means a good sleeping night for me since our window ACs are still not installed. We have seen the sun trying to come out, it's so nice to have the pollen washed away.

All hands healthy
