One of our favourites......

The café where mum and I are welcomed with 'Hi Girls', they care and always ask off our week. Neither of us mind being referred to as 'girls', certainly makes mum feel special, which she is, her eyes light up and she has a little chuckle. I think she secretly feels like a celeb and rightly so :)

Today we waited in the warmth for Daughter E to join us. A fire was roaring along with gas heaters as the building was built of bricks back in the 1870s. It was a flax mill and was known back in the day as The Mill but today its known as Brick Mill.

Today we had the Pumpkin, sweetcorn and chilli soup served with garlic bread, followed by the little lemon and yoghurt muffins we absolutely love - they are drizzled with a maple glaze and served with yoghurt, delish!

Today R had his first visit to day care, he had mixed reactions and was very confused and quite emotional to see us, I think he wondered if we were ever coming back.

We all left home on a wet, bitter morning which cleared round noon as the sun peeked out but it still remained very bitter.

A later blip for me tonight, feeling very drained and tired as I've been fighting off a headache all day. Thank you for all the lovely comments for yesterday's 'Cat's Eye View', unfortunately I'm not up to much commenting tonight. I'll now do the dishes, tidy up, have some meds and have an early night.
