Two-toned Rose

Roses have been called the “Queen of the Flowers” and their cultivation dates back to Greek and Roman times, with many varieties having a Far East heritage.  Roses conjure up the form and fragrance of a dozen long-stemmed roses like the one in the photo, but wild roses grow in all corners of the world, and in many different habitats. However, garden roses need around 6 hours of sunshine and good drainage. That's why I have one plant in a pot on the patio which I can move around as it would be an uphill battle in my garden! It's lovely to have these brightening the house during these disappointing dull days of early June.
