East gate / Oostpoort

The East Gate is the only remaining gate of the city of Delft. The gate was built around 1400. The towers were increased in the 16th century.

The Oostpoort consists of a land and a water gate port which are connected with each other by residues from a city wall.

Today, the building is in use as a house and art gallery.
