Great Spotted Woodpecker

As I was trying, half heartedly, to decide on a blip from the photographs I'd taken today, this Great Spotted Woodpecker landed on the peanut feeder.   I daren't move as he is very skittish, and this capture is through two thicknesses of double glazing in the open patio door, so it isn't as sharp as I would have liked it to be.   It's the first time I've seen him for ages and I'm delighted to have him visit again.
You can see where the squirrel has tried to sabotage the feeder by chewing the lid and the perches!!
Thunderstorms and torrential rain this morning, then very humid throughout the day but this evening is wonderful, sunshine and a gentle breeze, long may it last!
