Barcelona day 2

I'm looking forward to returning to the cool of the UK tomorrow, although sorry to admit that I have not had a chance to see much more of Barcelona than my hotel room and the conference venue. I'll just have to come back as a proper tourist in the future.

My conference paper went down well this morning. After attending (and tweeting) sessions I was back in my hotel room and back to the day job: commenting on student work, answering email, and reviewing papers for another conference in the US in November. This evening I enjoyed a quiet supper in the square outside the hotel with my 'grand-mentor'* and his wife.

*My grand-mentor is my own mentor's mentor.
