Ups and downs

We managed a walk en famille today, so four humans and two dogs. We left the guinea pig and fish at home.

The walk itself threatened to be a blustery, wintery affair, but actually turned out to be quite pleasant. Which meant that Mme Tepeka and the girl child, who had both donned enough layers to conquer Everest, were distinctly red-faced and shiny by the end. 

Afterwards, we ventured to Sports Direct to buy some stuff we need for our upcoming trip. It's truly a hellish place (Sports Direct, not our holiday destination) and even manages to knock Ikea into second spot on my least-favourite shopping destinations list. 

Now, I'm being serenaded by the girl child, who's practicising for her grade 1 clarinet exam. It's all go...
