Synapse collapse

By measuring the hesitation recorded in this blip (approximately half of the standard unit of one Himalayan Yellow-billed Blue Magpie) one can gauge the relative speed of said unit against this individuals ability to swing a telephoto. I'd spotted the bird, had focus on him and several shots of a furtive beak, waiting for a stealthy moment to elude my digi lens - my diligence nearly paid off !
I have several better images of this, one of our loveliest garden birds. The parakeets are raucous, the crows cheeky, the cuckoos annoyingly persistant, the minas eager, the eagles minor and the woodpecker hardly ever shows up (not even a blurred half effort on that, even with scoping the likely holed tree where I heard him.. just the one time)
The eagles aren't minor of course.. there have been up to 5 circling the thermals above the house.. and one or more accompany most trips around the valleys. Fabulous and always spirit enhancing.. It was just a word play thing..
