Bosham Gardens

Today is a day I've been waiting for, Bosham Open Gardens Day in aid of Cure Parkinsons. My brother in law was diagnosed 3 years ago and so far is doing very well. Treatment has not been changed much in 50 years and some of the medication's side effects are as troubling as the disease itself. Cure Parkinsons Trust brings hope that eventually they will be able to slow, stop or even reverse Parkinsons, they deserve all the help they can get.

It was sunshine all the way and Bosham was crowded with happy gardeners this afternoon, viewing 27 gardens. We even had the treat of viewing some of the rather posher gardens out at Bosham Hoe.. What a lovely atmosphere, lots of gardens providing drinks and/or food, one garden had a Carribbean flavour serving punch. The old theatre garden served teas and strawberries and cream with music.
. It was a great day.

I think this is the my garden of the day, Mill House on Quay Meadow with its glorious view of the church behind. The ancient Mill Pond borders the Mill Stream with its copious wild life. I loved it.
