A View to Tranquille

In the flood zone and
filled with wild fowl galore, it
is calm at sunset

We had more than our usual rainfall over the previous weekend. Combined with the runoff we experience in spring, our Thompson River has overflowed at its junction with Kamloops Lake. It has made the ducks and geese population very happy.

We were at the airport to collect our weary traveller this evening. We arrived at the appointed time to discover the plane was delayed. Instead of hanging around our little airport, we drove west to catch this evening view.

Kid #1 has returned from Japan and Thailand. She is bone weary. We scooped her up, purchased some food for her and delivered her to her bed. She has been three days in transit and needs to roll into bed. We will hear her tales tomorrow.
