Not quite red

Dragged Little miss bossy to see Maroon 5 in Oberhausen.  Was a little unsure if we'd get there as an unexploded WWII bomb had been found enroute between us and the venue...they clearly did almost as good a job with the clear up back then as they did with the manufacture of the damn things!

We were treated to not one but two support acts, the one was 'Magic!', who we both decided wasn't quite our cup of tea, but the first one, a Manchester lad called Nick Gardner was good, and so when he told the audience that he'd be out front at the merchandise stand after performing, then we had to go meet him.  LMB was delighted with the resulting selfie and the gossip she got about 'NaughtyBoy'*.

Maroon 5 themselves were good...slick, professional but a little bit too...almost big for their boots...having seen Ed Sheeran, 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction, all in the same venue, with the same sized crowd I can see the difference, all the other three interacted with the crowd - the performances felt personal, they knew where they were (Oberhausen, not just Germany, or Europe) but Maroon 5 blasted through the first 3-4 songs back to back, barely a pause, it was almost as though they had a job to do and they were going to get it done...

He did wiggle his bum nicely though and we liked the hot pink guitar!

* don't ask, it's a long (One Direction) story.
