The Hope

Quite windy and dull.  In fact at times bloody well freezing.  Not many folk going about in the Hope - I wonder why ?  Had a visit from Luke this evening who came to strike a deal to rent our ground.  He is only 22 and (after serving his time as a joiner) he is mad keen to get farming.  He’s bought a few kye - he has already had a very poor lambing and he is going to renew our fencing at the back end of the year.  He was impressed with CMC’s chocolate cake - that seemed to clinch the deal.
