Oradour Sur Glane memorial village

An interesting but perhaps not 'enjoyable' visit to where 642 inhabitants were massacred and the village destroyed by the nazis on 10 June 1944. There was a peaceful feel to the place despite its brutal past. The evening was spent with lots of friends and family back at the house, a much needed balance to the day.
