Broughton House (a Scottish National Trust property) in Kirkcudbright is quite literally across the road from our holiday cottage.
They were holding a special event tonight - "Have a Look Around the House and Garden"
Mrs. MD was off into the garden and I had a bit of a wander around the house.
I came across this rather novel way of advising visitors not to sit on the furniture.
In extras you will find a view of Broughton House (not the most impressive building I have come across in Scotland) from the doorway of our cottage.
