A new Link

Having a desk job, I try and do as much walking as I can when I can.

So I parked first thing at Great Northern and walked to Oxford Rd via the Canal.

It turned out that Whitworth St was partley closed at Deansgate locks. A big crane had turned up on my way back at lunchtime, and was lifting in a new footway to allow people to access the metrolink station more directly from the street (I guess replacing the route seen in this blip, which I guess is too close to the adjoining pocket sized development site). I have added an Extra showing the crane holding the new footway in position

This chap was just hanging around waiting for crane action. No doubt he had a key role later on.

And now - it's the weekend. Hurrah !
