Boys Book of Spiders

I can see I'm going to need some help identifying tiny tiny beasties. This fellow is possibly a white and green crab spider, I think. But if you know better do shout out. He's lying in wait, front legs ready to grab anything that comes to close, on his pink and white peony hunting ground in the front garden.

The distance between the tips of his outstretched arms is less than a centimetre. It's hard to comprehend how small his eyes are - all six of them.

It is possible I have the bug (a-ha) for this macro photography lark. And we all know who to blame, don't we...? ;-)  Do go large with this photo, and even then zoom in to see the exquisite detail this lens pulls out.

With luck the lightning we were promised last night will arrive this evening. The camera was set all night, but in the end it was the dawn sunrise that set the shutter off.
