An Almond some day...

Took a nice walk this morning and saw this almond tree

Almonds are a fruit 

Half a million acres are planted in California

The U.S.A. is the top producer with Spain being number 2

There are two kinds of almonds, sweet and bitter..

All commercial almonds in the U.S.A are the sweet variety  (Didn't use to be)

The bitter almonds are controversial due to possible cyanide poisoning and to vitamin B-17 with its possible medical uses.

Going to be 37 C today in central California.
