Climbing wall, SCOUTitOUT Hitchin

Will was determined to get to the top of the wall, despite it stretching him. He listened carefully to my suggestions when he got stuck and finally made it to the top. He was very chuffed. The wall was all part of a two week push by Hitchin Scouts to recruit more volunteers to the movement in order to allow more kids to join, one adult volunteer equals 10 more kids involved.

Earlier Will did well at his violin lesson and has chosen, in discussion with his teacher, which tune to play in assembly in front of the whole school in a week or so. Then we headed to church for the celebration of Carys's first holy communion. She read a bidding prayer beautifully and then afterwards enjoyed her party with her friends. We had some official photos taken, hopefully they will be nice. Will did well too, as he was getting a little frustrated at everything being about Carys. Tomorrow C will spend some time with N&P so W and I can have some one to one time.
