Visitors

We took our visitors - Leo and Lauren - down to the Ship on the Shore for lunch today. Amazingly, despite all the years of living there, we've never been to the Ship with Leo. That may have something to do with his historic antipathy to anything emerging from the sea, although that seems to have pretty much gone these days.

We enjoyed a lovely relaxing time before the visitors went off into town for Leo to have a kilt fitting for a wedding where he's an usher (I was most amused by the picture I was sent subsequently...) and to meet up with friends. We don't expect them back early....

We spent the rest of the day in fairly relaxed fashion, although for the last several hours I have been ploughing my way through a very large number of fellowship applications. In fact, an unprecedented number, which tends to indicate that we've been successful at drawing attention to ourselves. There will be more of the same tomorrow, as Monday morning is the deadline to get the evaluations in.
