The Bear Pit

We went to the theatre this afternoon to see Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit at probably Stratford’s smallest theatre, The Bear Pit.  This is situated behind the United Reform Church in Rother Street and is a great studio type place where the resident players and amateur groups can put on plays.  It is very cosy, almost like sitting in someone’s front room, a great atmosphere with excellent acoustics.  The play and cast were excellent and very funny; we had a great afternoon’s entertainment.

The last time I blipped a theatre trip, at the Comedy Hullabaloo, most people preferred the ‘extra’ photo to the main one, so this time I’ve switched them round and for the main picture I’ve used a photo of two Goldfinches tucking into the Niger seed I took this morning through a window from a garden length away.
