In the Willow Tree

Son Duncan, his fiancé Mei, the dog and I took a walk in the Taylor Dam Reserve this morning. I was a bit staggered to find that Duncan, who afterall was brought up in Blenheim, knew nothing of the park-like surroundings of the lake at the dam. Looking back years ago we never took our past dogs there. So it was all new to both Duncan and Mei. There is an enormous weeping willow there and it is a different world under that tree.... Just magical... With tire swings and wonderful climbing branches. Mei, being very athletic, was up the tree in a heartbeat....perfect for a blip.
