Blue June

First female common blue butterfly in the garden, this is rare, as it's usually the males who come first, but she's obviously taken the opportunity to relax on the ox-eye daisies before the madness starts with the guys! ;)

This is taken with my friend's sigma 150-500mm lens - first impressions, very very heavy (!) and the autofocusing is extremely slow - but apart from that, it's ok - I still prefer the Canon 100-400mm lens though! (yep, the more expensive one!)  But it's been a good few hours using sparrows as subjects!  Oh and this female common blue, who most probably would have flown away with the macro lens and I wouldn't have got the daisy in the shot either!
