Big brother

A back blip - succumbed and had to buy some internet time today (fri). Let's see yesterday I flew to Bangkok - all uneventful but read in Vietnam News that 40 years ago to this day was when the famous "burning napalm cihild" photo was published - really revolting people around the world and helping pressure the US and Aust to pull out. She now works for an organization that helps children affected by war. He talks about the horror when he realized that not only had her clothes burnt off but her arm still had flames on it - thats when he threw down the camera and helped her.

Today the Vietnamese 'court' jailed a man who dared to "slander the Socialist Republic of Vietnam" - he gave out some leaflets about human rights - jailed for 5 years!!!!!
After spending some time in China I get a bit lulled here by Vietnam's so called 'liberal socialism'. Until I read things like that
