Wanderings & Witterings

Chacefield Woods

This Tuesday's walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers was a short, circular route through Chacefield Woods in Denny.

There were 32 of us out and I ended up being back-marker, which limited my opportunities for conversation - maybe that was the leader's idea!

Anyway, it was dry and quite pleasantly warm, although the sun struggled to make an appearance. What was noticeable, however, was the array of wild flowers, with foxgloves and lilies making an appearance along our route.

And I was back in the house for 12:30pm - an welcome and unexpected bonus!
