Serenity...

Not a very serene start to the day with another Sparrow Hawk assassination taking place in the garden, this time a Starling. The blood-curdling death shrieks of the Starling (they really were that bad!) brought Seagulls, Magpies and Crows from near and far, circling overhead, just like in the film 'The Birds'! They even tried to mob the Sparrow Hawk!!

Thankfully things improved, and walking back from book group along the River Chew, serenity was restored to my day... Gazing at the river, it was hard to tell the reflections from the trees...

This afternoon I took some 'me' time and contentedly sat in the garden with my book, soaking up the sun, enjoying the company of the birds and listening to the serene sound of the breeze running its fingers through the trees...
