The Odd Couple

This heron fascinated me.

I had never seen one sunning themselves and their wings before.  I stared at this one for more than ten minutes mesmerized by its pose in worshiping the sun.

And then this pelican glided through the scene.

They seemed like such the odd couple.  Neither one paying attention to the other.

But I gladly took in the scene.
