The Circle of Life

I stumbled upon a bird egg this evening while taking a walk.  

It had fallen from it's nest and had been broken into.  So I chose to take a closer look.

I was amazed at the number of creatures taking advantage of the poor birds demise.  

I was initially a little taken aback.

But It helped me remember this is not an isolated situation.  We all live at the expense of other living creatures, whether they be animals or plants.

Just the musings of a blipper.
