Sgwarnog: In the Field

Floral Wallpaper

These were the first cobbles, or setts, that I featured in this journal, almost eighteen months ago. Cobbles and slabs have been something of a blip stand-by for rainy days. Not that I thought this one would make the cut, but having reviewed tha day's gleanings, this is best of a not very inspiring bunch.

I liked the pattern of the laburnum and whatever the other flowers are, but their pasted texture doesn't quite come through. I also like the way the spring grass has started to colonise this urban back street.

It is of course impossible to photograph cobbles or slabs without a ring-pull or cigarette butt creeping in for added colour.
